The Author

Dave Jones has served 30 years with the Dorset Police, the majority of that time as a motorcyclist. He qualified as a police motorcycle instructor in 1977, and his training received some of the highest marks ever awarded at the regional police driving school.

Dave wrote his first book The Assessment of Advanced Motorcycling in 1994, and as a result, was invited to assist with the writing of the latest Police Rider's Handbook, Motorcycle Roadcraft.
